10 things we can expect after today's Politburo Meeting which sent strong signal to boost Chinese economy
China’s top decision-making body, the Politburo held a meeting this morning. The messages it released give the whole society high expectations to the economic future. The stock markets rose sharply in the afternoon.
Shanghai Composite Index rose 3.61%.
Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index rose 4.44%.
So can we we expect exactly? I think at least the following points:
More stimulus policies will come out. (加力推出增量政策)
Local funds for livelihood, wages, and operation will be guaranteed .(做好基层“三保”工作。“三保”指保民生、保工资、保运转。)
The deposit reserve ratio will be lowered.(降低存款准备金率)
Interest rates will be lowered.(实施有力度的降息)
Real estate prices will stop falling.(要促进房地产市场止跌回稳)
The stock market will rebound.(要努力提振资本市场)(We saw the result this afternoon.)
A private economy promotion law will be issued. (要出台民营经济促进法)
The low- and middle-income groups’ salaries will be raised and they will have more money to improve their living standard.(促进中低收入群体增收,提升消费结构)
Foreign investment will be encouraged to enter the manufacturing sector.(抓紧推进和实施制造业领域外资准入等改革措施)
Groups with employment difficulties such as the relative elderly, the disabled, and long-term unemployed people will get more help. (加强对大龄、残疾、较长时间失业等就业困难群体的帮扶)
I would like to add you to a WeChat Group that was created to give the foreign diplomatic community access to different perspectives on China than those available in the dominant media.
The group includes about 60 Ambassadors, the major private Chinese Think Tanks, major English speaking media personalities, academics, economists and a few business people. I can be reached by email at ehtangen@gmail.com if you are interested. I appreciate the concise brevity and focus of your posts.
